Privacy policy

Tovera is a public calendar of nonprofit-sector events, operated by Giving Bridge Consulting. We try to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what that means.

What we collect

You can browse Tovera without an account and without giving us any personal information. Tovera does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

When you use the contact or suggest-a-source forms, we receive what you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and message, and we use it only to respond to you.

If you subscribe to our weekly email digest, we store your email address and subscription status so we can send it. We use double opt-in, meaning you confirm by clicking a link before we ever email you. We use your address only to send the weekly digest of nonprofit events, we never sell or share it, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time, which stops all further emails.

Like most websites, our host (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and secure the site. A small amount of information, such as which events you dismiss in the admin tools, is stored only in your own browser and never sent to us.

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Netlify Analytics) to understand overall traffic, such as how many people visit and which pages are popular. It measures this from those server logs only. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not identify you as an individual.

Event listings

Tovera gathers factual information about public events from the organizations that run them, and links back to each original source. We do not control those third-party sites, and their own privacy practices apply when you visit them.

Changes

If we add analytics, accounts, or other features that change what we collect, we will update this page and its date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
